Abstract

The use of smart technologies has become essential for improving agricultural business practices. These technologies are typically managed through mobile applications, which are increasingly being adapted for small farms to help them remain competitive and address challenges such as climate change and evolving agricultural markets. This research aims to evaluate and identify the mobile applications best suited for the Farmino farm using a multi-criteria decision-making approach. A decision-making model was employed, incorporating ten criteria and multiple mobile applications. Farm employees, who are the intended users of these applications, assessed the criteria and applications using linguistic terms. Fuzzy methods were then applied to determine the importance of the criteria and to select the most suitable application. The fuzzy SiWeC (Simple Weight Calculation) method was used to evaluate the criteria weights based on user input, while the fuzzy LOPCOW (Logarithmic Percentage Change-Driven Objective Weighting) method provided an objective determination of criteria weights. These methods revealed that the "Data accuracy" criterion holds slightly greater importance than the others. Next, the fuzzy MABAC (Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison) method was used to rank the mobile applications. The results showed that the A4 mobile application performed best, making it the top choice for Farmino farm. This study contributes by offering a practical model that helps farmers select the mobile application most suitable for their specific needs, enhancing decision-making processes in agricultural technology adoption.
