Abstract
Just like the rest of the world, Serbia also encountered numerous challenges in the agricultural sector due to the conflict in Ukraine. These challenges encompass disruptions in trade routes, shifts in import and export patterns, price fluctuations, heightened competition, and new market opportunities. This paper sheds light on the significant impact of the Ukrainian conflict on Serbian grain and apple exports. Moreover, it underscores the repercussions of Serbia's substantial reliance on fertilizer imports from Russia and provides recommendations to tackle this concern. In conclusion, the conflict prompts the necessity of policy adjustments in Serbia to effectively navigate the evolving trade dynamics. The armed conflict underscores the urgency of revising trade agreements and support mechanisms within the agricultural sector, ensuring the stability of agricultural trade.
