Abstract

The basis of this study is to carry out the zoning of grapevine cultivation in urban Belgrade viticultural region using by three vegetation indices NDVI, EVI and SAVI. These indices were calculated on the basis of spectral signals analyzed from the Landsat 8 satellite during the August period of 2021. With data based on Landsat eight satellites, maps with zoned vineyard plots were obtained by each vegetation indices. The results showed that the vegetation indices NDVI and SAVI led to similar classifications in wine-growing zones. On the other hand, the EVI vegetation index captures a high level of lushness with less sensitivity. Consequently, these indices can contribute to the rationalization of viticultural practices, adjusting the intensity of such practices to the characteristics and needs of each of these viticultural areas.
