In this paper authors presented profitability of organic fruit production in the Republic of Serbia, which is a key factor in orientation of the most producers toward different production systems. Goal of this paper is to show whether organic fruit production is economically sustainable and whether it is more payable than conventional fruit production. Contribution of this paper can be seen in possible perceiving and providing a perspective, that is, alternatives to fruit producers in the Republic of Serbia, having in mind significant growth of organic products market both in Serbia and at international market.
